Originally from Milingimbi community, Clinton is now based in Darwin with his wife Sylvia Nulpinditj.

Clinton is a painter, specialising in rarrk (cross-hatching). Clinton paints Dhuwa ancestral stories such as Wagilak Sisters Story, Djalumpu (Hollow Log Dreaming) and Honey Story.
