Unique lino block print onto bush dyed printmaking paper (Framed)
The artists from Anindilyakwa Arts have been experimenting with bush dying and have developed a new technique - lino block printing onto bush dyed professional quality printmaking paper. Each piece of paper is unique due to unpredictability during the dying process and hand block printing. Some artists have also chosen to hand colour sections of their designs. These lino block prints have been inspired by plants collected and/or observed by the artists in eastern Arnhem Land and form part of our latest exhibition 'Akaburraka Jinama: Bush dyed homewares from Groote Eylandt'.
