This product has been created using hand screen printed fabric, printed by Indigenous artists from Injalak Arts, West Arnhem Land. Injalak Arts works with not-for-profit NGOs in Cambodia that support craft workshops employing disadvantaged women and men. These cross-cultural partnerships are fair trade and aim to improve the lives of Indigenous artists from Gunbalanya and artisans in Cambodia.
"In 2013 Injalak Arts began collaborating with artisans in Cambodia to create a range of high quality clothing, accessories and homewares. Featuring Injalak's handprinted fabrics, our partners work with us to create unique and beautiful products. Cambodia is famous for silk production and we also print on hand-loomed silk scarves and other fabric products sourced from our partner organisations. We partner with various social enterprises, fair trade workshops and individual tailors including Tabitha Foundation, Kravan House, Artisan Designer (AND), and Woman for Woman Foundation."
