Kurrajong string bag dyed with natural bush dyes: red, white and yellow. Yellow dye: djundum, red is ash and yellow dye, white is plain kurrajong tree bark. The string is made by harvesting the inner layers of the Kurrajong tree. Fibres are chewed then rubbed on the thigh to form a two ply string. The base is made by holding a loop around the ankles and the body of the bag is made with a traditional looping technique.
