This story is about the wind and the sea, it's a saltwater story that’s been handed down for generations. It's about the two great elements Wind and Water and how they work together. The wind blows upond the water making it dance, from ripples to waves. The wind blows along with the tides around this country keeping the sea dancing. The wind blows from different directions as the season changes, sometimes the wind blows hard and fast and sometimes soft and slow. Like the change of the seasons from wet to dry Saltwater people have knowledge of when to hunt and fish for certain sea foods. The wind, sea and land all give signs of change. By listening to what the wind is telling us saltwater people from this country have the knowledge of reading the tides without even being next to the sea. This is also done by listening to certain birds and looking at certain things that appear upond the water. Saltwater people have the knowledge to know when the tide is about to change, even before the tide starts to move. Stars in the night sky also give guidence to tidal changes. In the wet season great storms are formed on the sea making the wind blow strong and the sea rough and dangerous. First the lightning and thunder storms come with very little rain, then later the storms bring the rain and stronger winds across the country bringing fresh water and new llife to the land. In the dry season the wind starts of blowning soft and slow then later on it picks up and blows alot swifter. I paint this story to give appreciation to my elders and to show respect to Mother Earth our teacher of life.

All canvases larger than 30 x 30 cm will be sent off the frame.
